Nidec Motor Corporation seeks candidates for Warehouse Workers to support Nidec Motor Corporation’s businesses. These positions are located in Southaven, MS.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments using customer shipping documents, purchase order copies, etc.  Attaches labels and stickers as required.
  • Pulls and stocks incoming and outgoing freight.
  • Ability to use RF equipment for auditing of outbound shipments.
  • Processes required paperwork and operates powered industrial trucks to perform job duties.
  • Assists Inventory and Cycle counters and associated department functions as required.
  • Accurately counts and accounts for product and performs all work on a timely basis.
  • Maintains a high level of organization and a clean and orderly work area.
  • Willingness to be proactive and adjust priorities throughout the day to ensure that all work is completed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Wrap and load freight on to LTL and TL carriers.
  • Pull, scan, and stage product accurately  for shipping
  • Ability to scan pick slip into warehouse data base and update to appropriate status
  • Ability to use RF equipment to pick sale orders using varied operating systems
  • Stage freight in designated areas
  • Ability to inspect and operate various types of power equipment
  • Willingness to be cross trained to perform other functions such as receiving and checking
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years successful warehouse/distribution experience.
  • Capable of obtaining certification to operate Powered Industrial Trucks; ability to maintain certification.

Skills:

  • Ability to work shifts as needed including overtime; month-end availability a must.  Flexibility to work varying shifts is a plus.
  • Heavy lifting: Occasionally, frequently or continuously lift 50-70 pounds from the waist up without assistance; occasionally, frequently or continuously lift greater than 70 pounds with assistance (team lift or utilizing equipment, as directed)
  • Computer literacy to include Warehouse Management Systems and RF. 
  • Communication Skills – Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization.
  • High degree of accuracy.  Must be able to validate part numbers to pick documents and ensure correct counts are performed.
  • Regular attendance is an essential part of the job.
  • Must have the ability to work daily or weekly overtime as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
